    If you're in Sheffield to visit the Crucible for this year's World Championship drop into Chesworth Cues on Abbeydale Road:

    http://home.btconnect.com/chesworthcues/index.html

    I bought a decent pool cue from him yesterday (£85) and found the owner, Martin Chesworth, very knowledgeable (he used to manufacturer pro standard cues) friendly and I could tell he wanted to sell me the right cue for my needs.

    He supplies to professionals, amateurs and strugglers like me.

    Very nice table to practice on, not full size but big enough to do a test drive.

    Spent more than I wanted to but very pleased with my cue and not lost with it yet!

              Thanks for all the advice everyone. I finally went for a Craftsman Majestic 3/4 butt, 18 oz, 58", 10mm tip, here it is;

              http://www.craftsmancues.com/acatalo...ard_range.html

              £195 so just about my monetary limit! I'll post some photos when it arrives, 2-4 weeks.

              Cheers,

              Mat Wilson

                Think you'll be happy with a Craftsman cue. I took delivery of a Craftsman Century and its a nice well made cue. Did you consider getting an SD joint fitted or are you happy to use push-on extensions. Just a thought.
