Got mine a couple of days ago, Its perfectly straight and nicely weighted. Plays well for me. Tip is a bit hard so that will be replaced and there is no vanish or oil finish so it will be oiled and for the price a decent cue.

Much better than the BCE or riley cues you get from sports shops for a similar price.

Mine was a smooth finish with what seems a very fine (almost non existent) coat of oil, no cheap laquer or vanish.

I am going to give it coat of linseed oil tomorrow which i think will just finish it off nicely.

Tbh i wasnt sure if it had any finish at all and if it was just bear wood, but after another look today there does seem a v.fine coat of some kind of oil - im no expert but its certainly not laquered or varnished, in which case i will just add another fine layer of oil to it.

“If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.”

Ah thats very possible, guess oiling over the top of that wont be a good idea then, maybe leave it for a while and see how it goes.

                    Hi
Attached is a link to a current seller of a handmade cue on ebay. Coincidently, I tried this exact make and model with the same design yesterday at my local club. It plays well and the ash shaft was fine; if you like heavy cues. I have bought cues from this seller before. The cue comes from Hong Kong rather than Canada but they are pretty decent cues for the money. I have always bid for them rather than pay the 'Buy it now' price. This is the only seller worth buying from as they actually use ebony on the butt and real exotic wood rather than some sellers whose cues are painted or they use rosewood as a cheaper alternative. To be fair, I rather buy on ebay through these guys than to buy a BCE or Riley original. The cue you buy is actually the one in the picture as well. So for those of you who like to be specific above the arrows or chevrons, then it is okay to buy from this seller; this is based on my experience so far with this seller.
