  • Need a New Cue

    hi everyone.
looking to buy a nice cue as i am only using a riley paul hunter cue and it doesn't play that well.
have around £120-£150 to spend i know that isnt very much for a quality cue but want to get the best for my money. new or 2nd hand i would like a nice solid cue as the one i am using atm makes the balls feel sooooo heavy.

    sorry about the long post.

I've got a riley Paul Hunter cue and make 50+ breaks with it,it plays just fine,I dont know what your standard is but if your not a 50 break player I'd be more concerned with the fact that your not other than what I find to be a decent cue, just my take

      need advice on new cue

I'm planning to purchase a signatory cue by Ronnie O'Sullivan by BCE. But since I'm not familiar with cues, I like to ask if any of you have used it before. Any comments to the cue? Is it a good brand?

The price is cheap. but i'm not sure if it fits me. I play an average 30+ break.

the link below shows the cue i'm interested in.

      Many thanks.

if you want some positive advice, stay clear of the bce, save a bit of money, ask around the forum for pointers, then make a decision.

          bce sucks?

how sad I was looking forward for the signatory cue by Ronnie or Jimmy W.

Flame: But thanks for your advice. I will reconsider and stay away from BCE.

But why would BCE able to get Ronnie and Jimmy W to be their signatory cue if the cues are so bad?

                        Hi! Azu,

                        It's not really that bad....
Since you're from Malaysia too, you should know what is WAJA.
If you are driving a WAJA for years & feel so comfortable, you would say WAJA is good.
Later, you bought a BM & stop using your WAJA. After using the BM for months, of course you will then say..... Oh! WAJA is suck......

                        This happened to me....
When I received the Ronnie BCE, I really love it. I enjoy using it.
After a year, I order a Mastercraft & stop using the BCE. Last month, I took it out & use it again... OH! ****, really don't understand how come I can use this cue for almost a year........

agree with kadobau. I started off with a Paul Hunter cue from Riley. Based on advice from people on this forum I bought a Craftsman Legend (which I can recommend). The difference is enormous, and it's hard to imagine how I ever played with the Riley. What I will say for brands like Riley and BCE is they give a reasonably priced entry level for people starting out....if the cheapest cues available were at the 100 pound level I may never have bought my own cue and really gotten into snooker. But big name players putting their signature on a cue doesn't mean they'd use it themselves....
