  • thesnookershop.co.uk - A & D Billiards

I have e-mailed a load of snooker cue repair places after searches on google (none in the Bristol area anymore it seems), only thesnookershop.co.uk aka A & D Billiards have come back to me after a few days of waiting for replies (A & D came back within 15 minutes!)......

So, anyone used these people before for cue repairs?

I need a new ferrule and a clean up, also if possible the slight warp being sorted out. A & D want £44 inc postage for all this.

Mike Woolridge quotes (via website) £95 for the same work.

I bought this cue off my coach (Bob Chandler) some 15 years ago (Burwat Champion that has been made into a 3/4 by John Parris and has a Bob Akers clear joint) i dont want to regret sending this anywhere!

My advice, after having some work done to my cue from a&d is,
you would be better off paying that bit extra, and guarantee a good job,
you have a great cue there so use a reliable cue maker.
I can see the table, but lost my ....ive lost my balls

so are you saying they did a good job for you heera? Or send it to Parris/Wooldridge and stomach the extra cost?

No problem,.. i am only talking from my personal experiences.
If i do have any work done now being in birmingham , i prefer to use B&W, not
bourroughs&watts, these guys are in cradley heath birmingham, recommend, to me by the pro player Adrian Gunnell, and do a fantastic job.:snooker:

TBH, made a mess of my very EXPENSIVE cue,
Parris, Wooldridge, coutts, or any reputable cue maker, Trevor white(1st choice)
as postage will be the same anywhere , i think.
Maybe someone on here can advice you better.

I got a new tip fitted, and whilst I can not therefore comment on there quality of more complicated work, their customer service is very good.

                          Cheers
