The bloke who sells them repairs old cues and sells them on, ive bought one off him before, and also sold him two old bent cues for him to fix up. If you look at his other items for sale you will see he does joints, ferrules, splices etc - seems like a top bloke and not too expensive either.
I bought a "cheapy" cue, on e-bay, from this guy last year. Cost me a tenner. Very good value for money I thought. The cue was very well described and posted very promptly. Packaging was very good to protect the cue. Current cue might be a bitty pricey for an "unamed" cue but maybe worth making an offer.
I recommended one of his handmade cues to a member eho wanted a cue for £50 . The cue looked excellent value for that . I,ll contact the person to see what he thinks of the cue and feeddback .
