  • World class inlay works!

Just want to share with everyone some very impressive inlay works done on a cue by master US pool cue maker Jerry McWorter.
This cue is truly a piece of art featuring some truly impressive inlay and scrimshaw works.
Check out the feathers on the butt, those are all scrimshawed done on ivory then inlaid into ebony.
This cue features ivory, turquoise, and malachite bordered by silver into ebony.
Eventhough this is a very intricate cue with many different elements, the maker is able to incoporate all these elements into a very elegant design without it looking too busy at all.
The inlays on this cue echo with each other above and below the wrap, creating a harmony and a theme--just as if the cue maker is trying to tell us a story or read us a poem through his work.
Very tasteful design, with perfect execution!
Please note that the inlay work on the handle is completely symmetrical but the feathers are all unsymmetrical.
The very smooth symmetrical long ivory inlays on the handle contrast brilliantly with the raw-looking unsymmentrical feathers above and below the wrap.
    Hope you all like it.

Note: These pictures were taken from Jerry McWorter's facebook public photo album.

A very tasteful peice of artwork. So good I would probably place it on the wall rather than use it.

The fishskin/dragon/snakeskin...etc inlays have been tried and done many times for many years.
