    hotpot you know the reason for this,please don't let on to Dan he will laugh his tips off,anyway a few pics of my first attempt at making a cue,(have been practising on scrap material for some time,thought i would now give it a go,Dan don't laugh at this either.Will post pics as i progress.

          I would never laugh at anyone who is at least willing to give it a go, i found it great fun. Would be great to see your progress and ways you tackle the job in hand. Good luck mate and we await pictures...

                You are doing a great job flame.

                Thanks for the link back to when you made your first cue totlxtc. I do not know how you blokes can do such things. Good luck to you. Only wish I could do that sort of thing, but will just have to stick to building radio control planes.

                      update

                      all ebony splices glued on, purpleheart splice with maple veneer glued on,have glued maple veneer to lacewood splice,woudn't want to work with purpleheart all the time.asked the missus to buy me a lathe for my birthday,so she decided we are having a fekkin 3 piece suite,don't you just love em.

                              the lace wood is going on top of the purpleheart,it will be about 1/2 the length of the purpleheart with maple veneer between.
