Think you will find that most people of 5 feet 8inches and above, will use a cue of 57.5 or 58 inches. I am five feet eight and mine is 57.5. When you have to lean right over the table, you will need the extra bit and that is why they use a screw in mini butt ( usually 6 inch). But I suppose it is, "each to his own". Some very tall people will have them longer.

most of the time i play league pool so i dont need it so long and i have ordered a mini but with it. Thanks for the advice though
