Buroughs & watts Sidney smith cue on ebay

There is a nice Sidney smith cue on ebay item number 190401435336 , these do not surface very often and even David smith of cue's and Views is after one .
I must admit having bought and sold various cue's over the last 36 years , I have never had one of these in my collection when I used to collect , Iv'e had the other variations , I've even got one left but never the B & Watts one , but I lost the bug of collecting and sold most of them years ago , but just may be tempted if this stays low . :snooker:

Lovely looking cue Geoff. Everyone i've seen had an ebony butt - this one looks to have a rosewood butt. Judging by this and a slightly different shaped badge i would say this is one of the last that burroughes & watts made, probably from the sixties.

I allready have the Sidney smith champion cue hand spliced 1947-48-49 and would sell this cue to raise money for the Burroughs and watts one which is more sought after and will prob fetch around £250 upwards .
I prefer old Buroughs and watts cues over old pereden cues .
It is very straight and is 57.1/4 inch long with no ferrel and is stamped 17oz , in ash , ebony hand spliced butt with maple insert and the three ebony stripes within the maple spliceing.

I had one of these with a Macassar ebony butt gave it to my mate who snapped his cue over his knee at a pool final!

Badge says:

The Stanley Smith (as signature) cue. Burroughes & Watts (then a couple of letters that are partly covered by the plate screw).
9 Soho square W1. (again a couple of screws may be covering part of the address)
other than the plate screws all the writing is crystal clear.
