    as for glued shut , its possible , but over tightened brass thread have a tendancy to lock together . as the threads barb up as the brass is stretched and lock into eachother .

    Send it off to the cuemaker who has posted, and when he has changed the joint maybe he can tell us why it was stuck in the first place

      You are right. But in the case where glue is involved, application of heat breaks down the epoxy(or superglue etc)
      Have you ever wondered how shafts are removed from golf club heads?
      Heat em up (evenly and not too hot) and in a few seconds the glu bond is broken.
