Essential Cue Collection list

If there is such a list that would be envious to the most diehard collectors , can we list some makers and the names of cues that would be a must-have on any serious cue collectors list? Please no arguments as this is a for-fun post but it would be interesting to hear the views for prospective cues that maybe come up for sale either through this forum or auction sites like e-bay and are sought after...

Well any collection surely needs a Burroughes & Watts Burwat Champion if only because of Alex Higgins

An Aeon Cue ( the limited edition individually numbered cue.....rare these )
The Classic Custom Cue that Jimmy White had of Alex Higgins, one of the first 3/4 jointed cues Jimmy did great things with that.
A Mac Chambers Cue
One Of Tony Glovers Replicas.....

That would be a nice little collection.............

Lol.........i thought you'd bite....a nice collection you have to be fair mate ....

Must be an original first edition Burwat though with the Indian Rosewood Butt & matching front splice you don't actually see many of these

There are probably too many great cues to choose from but no doubt they'll all get mentioned on this thread at some point...

I was serious, I can't see one on ebay, therefore it must be rare and valuable.

Seriously mate, i posted a thread asking for help on the subject matter and recieved one or two POSITIVE quotes on the cue. If you put it in the search engine then it only comes up with one bbc archive stating that it was rare and very much sought after was the quote. My point was how do u put a price on such a thing. Regardless of cuemaker and whos the best the blueprint for cost of these cues are the very same. Parris , hunt & osbourne, woolridge to name a few all say the costing of the cue depends on the materials used and more importantly time spent on the cue...Now if you have a cue which at the very least is over 70 years old with 16 veneers and splices all in different woods and to quote dave coutts today as the diehards of the forum will say "what does he know", Dave is restoring the cue to its former glory but he stated that it was one of the best looking cues he has seen for its age...so i guess dave coutts knows nothing now? Still snooker is a matter of opinions and this very forum is a classic example for that...when u ask for help u get a sarcastic comment which does nothing for the users of this forum that want, like me , to tap into some of the knowledge of those in the know. The thread started as what cues would be classed as the most wanted for any serious cue collector? It was for the likes of myself, now that i have a nelmes, with possibly a parris ultimate in the future, hopefully george!!, that it could be the start of a cue collection but cheers in advance for those who are wishing to help and hopefully the different opinions can ultimately be helpful in myself purchasing a few cues

i would love to have the design/replica of ronnie's cue when he made that fastest 147 in the world champs

looking at the youtube clips, it was clearly a long butted 3/4 cue, jointed at the top of the splices.

by any chance anyone here know the detailed specs?

another collection would be ebony butt ash cues from all the top cuemakers
