i like the look of A because it looks like the butt has been shaped around the badge, while the other one being halfway up the face splice, makes it look awkward. I think the fact the face splice angles downwards, will always have a feeling or natural flow of weight towards the bottom, and having the badge as in picture B sorta interrupts that flow. what i mean by weight is that the face the splice is wider on the bottom n gets narrow towards the top.
