  • glover cues - communication...

    Hi folks,

Just wondering what peoples experiences are with communication from Glover Cues. I sent of an email for a quote 3 weeks ago and nil response.

    Is this normal for Tony?

Ok you had a better experience, I sent an email like 2 to 3 months back? And no reply?

Maybe the email account is wrong or what I'm not too sure, but I got it from the website.
But it's history, as I've already ordered a cue from another maker.

Tony's old fashioned emailing isn't really his thing, the best way is to phone him, his dad used to help him out with emails etc but not so much now due to poor health, so he's pretty much on his own.

More importantly though his works excellent & you will get exactly what you ask for whether it be a new cue or a repair, i know it doesn't help when you don't get a response from emails & it can give the wrong impression, the way we communicate has moved on but like most cuemakers there time is still best spent on the skilled stuff.

Tony , sorry to hear about your Father . Wonderful Gentleman who i spoke to when i was refurbishing my cue case that i bought from you years ago . He kindly sent me 4 clasps for nothing . The case is of an excellent quality and workmanship . Also had the pleasure of visiting your workshop and buying a cue from yourself when i worked in Derby about 10 years ago .

Best wishes to your Father .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

"Should finish your cue in about 14 days..."

Now if that's not the most exciting communication I have received this year I don't know what is!

Wow... When did you order your cue?
I have since been using my glover cue for the past 4-5 mths.
