  • Problems with my Peradon York Cue

Hello Is there anyone who can help me,, I bought this peradon york cue for £200.00 3 years ago,, since then i have been changing tips but never have been able to achieve desired results,, I can get much more action on the cue ball with an ordinary club cue compared with my supposedly better and expensive cue,, I have used blue diamond, elkmaster and at the moment I have Talisman,, I was told that the tip makes all the difference,,
Is there anyway I can improve the performance of the que,, something with the tip etc,,,

    Please help

Just cause its more expensive doesn't make it better. You might be using a cue that doesn't suit you or one that is not a very good cue. I think it's safe to say that most of the cuemakers make both good and not so good cues. Especially the larger ones like Peradon, but many of us will have seen cues by the very top makers which aren't so good aswell.
My advice would be to try ones some of the better players around you use, and choose a make which is less mass produced. Having said all that it could just be the tip

The tip can make a big difference but will not make a lifeless cue into e responsive one . I found the best tips for me for getting the most out of a cue are probably kamui ,s . The only problem i found with them though is they do go hard quite quick .

The new talisman are also very responsive but are not available to buy yet .
Try a kamui , i nearly gave up on my current playing cue until i tried laminated tips .

I would agree with whats been said, the tip will make some difference but the technique of the player will be the biggest factor in getting response out of the cue ball.

Why dont you give it to a friend to try, see if he can get any response out of it, then you will have a better idea of where the problem lies.
