Recent John parris cue standard

What is the standard of current John Parris cue?
Any complaints so far?
My friend just recieved his john parris old handmade which he sent for adding splice back.
I was taken aback when I saw his cue!
The wood carefully selected but the workmanship on the splices have alot to discuss.

Does anyone have this exprience?
Can Mr John Parris please clear this air if you happen to read this thread.

No, my friend didn't even let me have a single chance to test hit the cue, let alone take pics. I will try my luck again when I see him down at the club.

Yes, the tip of the splice are on the same level but the point whereby the splices join is totally in consistant.
