  • Pear shaft

I've seen on the new Dan Shelton website he can make not only ash and maple shafts. The third option is Pear. Did you ever played with a pear shaft cue? How does it plays. It is harder or not than ash or maple?

    Thanks

I have two pear shafted cues. One Robin and one Camkin.Pear has a similar grain structure to maple, but is smoother. It is difficult to find a good pear shaft as many are too whippy but if you find one, keep it.Very smooth over the bridge hand and very responsive.

never try pear shaft cue, but when i am child ,the billiard club use one piece iron wood cue as club cue, it's very heavy and stiff. The ball offen jump out the table.
