Hi poolqjunkie, I've just gone from 57 to 56 and think I could go to 55, I'm 5'11 how tall is you friend richard. The more I learn about cues the less I know.
Richard is about 5' 7". He was playing with a 57", then he changed to 56". When he was amongst the balls he felt that the cue was still a bit too long and he was gripping the cue behind the vertical. He changed to 55", and is playing much better. His long potting also has improved.

      Good Day,

I just purchased a Aurora cue with seven chevrons that show up when I hold it with flat down, I have only played about 3 hours with it, I noticed that If I am holding the cue too stiffly the chevrons turn to the right, this is my cue to relax and straighten up the chevrons and have another go, I never got this tip when playing with my maple or plain white ash cues, I like it, its not good to tense up on the grip.

      Cheers,
I try hard, play hard and dont always succeed, at first.!!!!:snooker:
