  • Buying new cue, recomendations

Im considering buying a new cue, got about £200-£300 to spend, need some recomendations.

im considering the Powerglide vanquish, and also the peradon York

    any suggestionsor or thoughts

not been playing mega long, but the £50 mbs cue im using isnt that good

this is what im currently using :

MBS Machine Spliced 2 piece Cue

This is a medium weighted, 2 piece snooker cue with a 9.75mm tip.

It has a genuine machine spliced hard wood butt, with an ash shaft and matching grain.

It is an ideal first cue for players just taking up the game who do not want to commit themselves yet to the more expensive models.

    Cue Format 2 piece mid-joint
    Tip Size 9.5 mm
    Weight Medium
    Will accept Mini-Butt No
Will accept Blueray Telescopic Extension No but will accept Extenda

I,ve got a nice GBL champion for sale and a mastercraft , both one piece ash .

    Specs .

    GBL

    57 "
    17.8 OZ
    9.5 MM
29.5 MM butt . Price £150 delivered , pics can be seen in one of my photo albums , its the cue with four burr splices and red veneers .

    Mastercraft

    57 "
    16.5-16.7 oz
    9.50mm
29.50mm butt . Price £110 delivered no pics yet but will add one soon .

Both really nice cues especially the gbl basically you wont get a better cue for the price or a fair amount more money .

With a budget like that mate you could order a custom cue!!

Try Mastercraft, or call Stu at Greenbaize and see what he has.

Definetly wouldn't buy any of the 2 you were thinking of
Ring Stu and ask him what GBL cues he has in stock, you will get a really good one for that money

i thought custom made cues are more in the region of £00-500?
                depending who makes it?

All Mastercraft cues are made exactly to what you want

Maybe not the very top quality you can get, but for the price its hard to argue against

Well you can get a custom made Trevor white for a little bit over £300. Or a very good 2nd hand one.

Have a word with ADR147 on here, or Stu at Green Baize as well as contacting Dave Coutts as he deals in a few cues.

                            Thanks,
I do try to keep my prices as low as I don't have the overheads, fortunately for me and my customers I work from home.
                            Hope it has helped you.
