    Hey mate,
Is it single piece or 3/4?
Does it come with a case?
How much you wanting for it?

and to hotpot I really think that your cue is outside of my price range mate. For my £70 I was hoping to get a cue and a case, but thanks a lot for giving me the info and sorry for wasting your time.

          Hi Logistiks,

Just going to put my 2 pennies worth in. What Hotpot is offering is a very good deal. Cut a long story short Mastercraft cues are a very good buy and will last a long time. As anything with life its better to fork out that little extra. Buy cheap, buy twice as my old man would say.

For £70 your really talking about getting a Riley/BCE cue. Which are ok just for knocking around in the club with and plenty of people get on with them fine. But the thing is those cues are not worth the £70 you want to pay. Paying an extra £30 for a cue that is handmade, made of real wood and not painted and will be balanced, straight and last you a longtime will be worth it in my opinion.

Ok you wont have a case. For the time being improvise. Get a 35mm diameter waste tube, a couple of rubber bungs from a fishing shop and you have a temporary case till you can find one.

Im not telling you "YOU MUST DO THIS", just my thoughts and opinion on the matter. Plus go and meet up with Neil (Hotpot, lovely bloke) and have a knock around....good excuse for a few games too.

If you don't get it then I may jump in there

So what's the difference between the mastercraft cue that Hotpot's offering and the one that Mick's offering? I can completely understand what you guys mean though, I guess I've not fully decided yet but will be having to decide relatively soon.

Well nothing really. Both are probaly as nice as each others.....but knowing Hotpot his cue will have fancy splices on and stuff :snooker:

No mines just the plain ebony butted cue
no fancy splicing decent solid hitting cue
and I agree with Dan they are better cues
than bce or other cheap cues you could get
                  for the money
Hotpot makes a good point about trying
out the cue first especially if you don't
                  know what spec you're after
mine will still be there if you don't get on with it

To be honest mucka if £70 is all you want to spend then your better off getting that cue off Mick Dundee .

After all they will probably be of similar quality and both play good so your paying £30 for a few trimmings , yes it is a tiny bit fancier but after all its a good cue and will do the same job .

Thanks for all the honesty and informative posts from you all.
Mind if I ask what the quality difference is between the Peradon cues and the Mastercraft ones?

Just my opinion, even I know you are on a budget, you should stay away from buying a Peradon without trying it out first.

Mind if i ask why? So far I'm just using a house cue at Riley's. It plays fine, but I need my own cue for when I play in the pub leagues back home. I don't need a cue that costs a lot of money and I dont need all the added bits since I'm just using it for 8-ball.

This is much harder than I thought it'd be

Then why dont you just find a house cue that you like and buy it from the club?

I guess because for the same money I'm hoping to get a decent second hand cue.

                                Bump anyway!
