Kings cues or Craftsmans own ?

Just wondering if anyone has purchased or used a King Cue (made in
Thailand) Craftsmans in Leeds and Green Baize also appear to be
selling this new brand. Seems they have lots of different designs and specs
available. I was also looking at Craftsmans own brand cues, anyone got
any preference for a particular model ?

Ive never played with craftsmen but I do have a Kings cue

To be honest the Kings cues are pretty good in quality specially considering they are made in thailand and the best thing about the cue is balancing, very nicely done
The shaft is smooth nicely finished but the butt is laquered which I dont like much but is good if you dont perspire much ( which I do )
Personally speaking I would recommend Kings cues over Mastercues/Omin cues but i cannot tell about craftsmen since ive never played with one

I bought a Zeus model as a spare cue from GreenBaize and Stu helped me sort out a cue to my like, specs and budget. Speak to Stu he will be able to help you out

Personally speaking if you have the budget I would suggest you go for GBL cues and if you are looking for a tight budget then the Zeus range should be ideal

King cues review on the forum by "keith in france".Early October,he appeared to be impressed,why not read it and judge for yourself.Craftsmans own brand is good value for money and you always have the option of Dave at Craftsman custom building a cue to your exact specifications.The Craftsman shop has a snooker and a pool table onsite and Dave and Simon do not mind "try before you buy" and their customer service and knowledge is excellent.If you live close enough,a visit is very worthwhile and usually fruitful. Hope this helps.

cheers old school, like you said it's a big plus that you can try the cues at Craftsman
before you buy.
