Hey Caz, hope you're playing better there m8. I hear ya on the two new cues arriving (and trying stuff out) - but be careful not to put your head in a jam jar by trying too much at once...

You might be better off persevering with one cue at a time until you're satisfied it's not for you. Just sayin'

            Good luck.

Hi inoffthered, I know what your saying and I am playing well with the TW, but feel I can play a lot better. Since changing my cue action I feel that my requirement have changed and feel that the spec's of my cue need changing.
I'm pretty sure I won't be using the john parris cue again. So would like it to go to a good home. I'm not that fussed if it sells, just thought I would see how much interest there would be. I have been offered a swap but can't make up my mind on the cue.
Thanks for the advice, it has been taken on board

Went out last night to get some batteries for my scales, but still can't get the dam things to work. Will try again later, The cue does have red glue on the splices. What does this mean?
I brought the cue 4 years ago

john parris used to glue his splices on with a red glue which can be seen under the splice at the very tip or the ebony splices, dont think he does it anymore , can you tell anything about this cue what is it like to play with ,

I've had three 90 plus breaks countless 70 and 80's and like I said my friend pick up the cue for the first time and made an 85 in the third frame so I think it safe to say that the cue plays very well.

The red / brown coloured staining to the gluelines is due to the fact that it's a Phenol based adhesive.

It's a very good adhesive, but can ruin the colour and appearance of pale timbers or coloured veneers.
