  • Cue Advice Please

Hi, was looking for some advice RE: a nmew cue for a Xmas present to replace a cheap riley.

So far I have scoured the internet looking for a nice cue that we can get inside our budget of £150 (wanted to try and get cue case and extension for this price if possible)

There are obviously a lot of cheap chinese cues on ebay, which want to try and avoid, but have noticed Dunns cues...which there have been quite a few posts about but no definate answers as to whether or not they are good cues for the money.

The cue I was considering as this one:

    http://www.dunns-cues.com/snooker%20...eries%20K.html

And he has offered this in maple with alu case and tele extension for just in budget.

Could anyone tell me if this cue is worth the money, or are there any others that may be better?

its ok you did,ny you replied to mine , well i should imagine if it,s basic specs you,re after then they will probably be in stock .

Just to make sure you could drop them an email asking them the waiting time .

They are good cues , i,ve had a few myself .

I've had a Dunns cue, and I'd advise you to steer clear from my own experience. The cue I got was, quite simply, awful, and not worth the money I paid for it. Of course, if you're comparing with a cheap Riley, then you might like it, but, if it were me, then I'd go for the Mastercraft recommended by Hotpot. Mastercraft do a good cue, and that cue, case & accessories package is as good a value-for-money package as you'll get for £150.

Mastercraft also have a really good, fast turnaround time, so you probably would get it for Xmas if you place your order now.

Another good idea is to contact ADR147, who is on this forum, but also reachable through eBay, and lives in Scotland. He's a good bloke and will steer you right.

          Hope this helps,
          Keith
