  • My New Craftsman - Review

Just received one more cue to my collection:
Craftsman - Custom made Olivewood No.185.
Its 3/4 Ash 58" 18.25oz 9.8mm. The cue is Great, Finish is very nice, very well balanced (17") The" feel" is superb and it looks fantastic (great piece of olivewood on the butt)
I would rate it as a top cue, same level as all top cue makers, but the price is reasonable.
The wait time is as it should be - 6 to 7 weeks and Simon is very kind ,
I've asked him for a specific "feel" for the cue, which is not easy to explain through emails, but he got it and made my cue just as I wanted! the only thing which could and should be better: The nameplate IS NOT perfectly straight with the chevrons. Although. I've asked it specific to be this way. (btw, the new nameplate with the individual No. is lovely!). Besides that, its a top cue in terms of its look and playability.

Yeah.. my favourite is have a cue with four splice of tulipwood or olivewood..two of these wood really made cue looks prefect in my own view other than burl wood.. have to save up for a good western cue, as far I know only western cuemakers use those wood. Right now, only way is to look into Mw's virtual cue maker
