off topic Jim, this is simply giving a chance for someone to own a cue that other wise they would not be able to afford, Aswell as giving me a return but without going over brd.
I know for a fact that if someone put up a JP ultimate I would be in it.

I think the Idea of ......Having a Voucher for Trevor White or John Parris is a Good Idea.

As if you start Raffle your Own Cue or Cues Most people on Here will want to do the same if they cant sell there Cues as thats only Helping the Seller to Sell a Cue for him which they Haven't had Enough Interest in on Forums.

I think Raffle a Used Cue or a Cue you cannot Play with isn't Really Fair? And if it was to Own a Brand New -Made to Measure Cue you would get alot more Money in Raffle.

I know I would Put Alot More in Raffle if Brand New Made to Measure Cue.

I'm aware there is a danger of certain members jumping on the band wagon and using this of a way of making more money for a cue than if they put it up for sale. But the same could happen with holding a raffel for a vocher for a hand made cue from a maker of your choice. I think the raffel would have to be limited to the vaule of the product/cue. So say for instance I'm selling a cue thats worth £300 the raffel entry would cease as soon as this value was reached. As for the rest of your post is concerned and sorry to be so frank but your talking rubbish, not fair to sale a cue you can't play with) ???????????????? Does not make any sense at all. This is not the case here and the cue has never been put up for sale. If you follow your logic if you can call it that, there would be no second hand cue sales at all. Why don't we save them for bonfire night and just burn them, By the way do you want to add the TW cue your selling to the pile or is that cue exempt?

I think you need to Go back to School and Read Properly before Shouting your Mouth off.

Everybody has there Own Opinion Don't They! Sorry but that's Mine and I won't Change it for You or Anybody else.

If your Selling Your Cue get it in Cues for Sale, Althou you have Tried that with No Joy haven't you!

Not Suprising with the Design you have Sorry, I have had Over 30+Years Experience with Cues/Snooker/Pool/etc and that is the Worst Design I have Ever Seen thats My Opinion Again! Which as I said already people do have there Own Opinion so Maybe you will get Lucky with One Person Liking your Design which I very Much Doubt.

Good Luck with your Sale I think you will Need it.

I'm sure you are a descent guy, but if this type of 'sale' takes off I'm sure the winners of some 'raffle draws' will end up being their friends or family; if you see where I'm going.

What's the best way to draw a raffle when 99% of the ticket holders aren't present?

This thread is just asking the question? Hence the poll and again it quite clearly says in the post that I would ask ferret to do the draw? I pretty sure that he honest guy and can be trusted.

No problem, I'm still waiting for ferret to get back to me, But can't see him allowing it. I might have to put the cue up for sale the normal way and hope I get lucky

                              cazmac1,
No Offence m8 but I think you would be Better Putting it Up For Sale.

If any Raffle was to Go Ahead Regarding Coupons/Vouchers etc for Brand New Made to Measure Cues which I think is a Great Idea for People Just Starting Out or People who are Short of Money Or Just for Interest.......You could Base the Draw on Lotto Bonus Ball etc depending how many Entries you could say £6/£8 Each for Trevor White Cue and the first 49 Names gets in the Draw!.......If John Parris then Obviously More £££ to get into the Draw.

Then People would know there is No Fiddling Going on....Just a Thought!

                              Gaz.

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but a now defunct company foralot.com did something similar a few years back... buying vouchers then a draw to win a cue. The cue was a modern burroughes and watts ascott from Uk8ball, and I happened to win it , I think they valued the package about £400. Happy days.
