Always exceptions to the rule thinking of Domonic Dale for one, but i think many pros are much like us in that some will find a cue thats suits them & use it for life whether it be a branded cue or just an old rack cue.
Others will try a few until they find one that suits from various makers usually after a trusty one is beyond repair, alot of makers usually carry out repair work on players existing cues as many choose this option other than change it.
As snooker or cue fans we might like to know what the pro's are using out of interest not that it makes any difference really as the upshot is i think for most players pro or otherwise its about finding a cue that suits you as an individual & you feel comfortable with, whether it be an old rack cue or a new one from any maker.
Then there's the cue addicts that will get through 100's which is ok to as there is no known cure for this apart from keep buying 'em, some will enjoy this, for others it will drive them nuts......it keeps the cuemakers busy though.......... :snooker:
