Hand Spliced or Machine Spliced?

Hi, I definitly think that the hand spliced cues look better and I like the idea of the splices being fully handmade, but is there an advantage or does it just affect the apearence of the cue?

Probably no difference in performance but more costly due to more time required to make it. Shaft feel and finish more important.
