As some of you might known I've been changing my cue a lot lately and recently brought a JP exclusive. I just couldn't play with it and returned it today.
I picked up an elite, I have to say it was the worse looking cue in the shop but was the only cue that I liked in the right weight range. John was very helpful and offered to make a new butt for the cue, I said I would see how I got on with it. Well I had a game today and have to say I'm really happy with the cue. I think I'll stick with this one for a while.http://s971.photobucket.com/albums/ae200/cazmac1/

Just goes to prove that nice looking cues aren't always what they are cracked up to be. Quite often plain or rather poor looking cues can often surprise people by how they play and looks like this is the case here with your cue.
Never judge a cue by its decorative splicing or even spaced chevrons on the shaft!!!!

Hi GM, he's got quite a bit in and had some lovely cues but were either to heavey or to whippy. If you look at the butt of the cue you can see loads of spots, it looks like something has spilled on it. There is also a defect in one of the splices, which has been filled. But the shaft is first class and in perfect condition. This is what makes the cue after all, every thing else is just for show.

Had a game with the cue tonight and really struggled. It's not the cue in feels great. I managed a 59 so thats the bench mark for now. I found that I can play the del drive better with a 56 inch cue, my cue on order with trevor is 56 so I'm not going to do anything with this cue. Just play with it till TW arrives.

Hold the Front Page .........Cazmac does not like his cue ....dramatic scenes in Shepherd's Bush as the hacksaw is once again seen being taken to a cue
Silly question Pete , but can't you put a piece of tape on the cue at the correct length of where a 56" cue would be and try that whilst waiting for your TW to arrive ?Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !
