A lot of people I have met do not even know the difference between machine spliced and hand spliced cues.

So I wish to know has anyone actually got a cue from VCM? Select the choices, click on buttons, click submit and flick out your credit card and make the payment? How's the overall buying experience like? How's dealing with Mike like?

I have an MW Black Shark and it is absolutely perfect. Mike is a great craftsman and a straight up guy in my book. Next cue I buy will definitely be a MW, maybe with a little veneer next time, but definetly a MW. He told me he took VCM down as far as ordering goes a while back, so PM is your best bet I think.
Check out Ebay and compare the amount of MW's, TW's, and JP's for sale. What I find is very rarely people sell MW's. Gotta be a reason for that, and after playing with my Shark for a few months I think I know why.

I've only seen 1 mw cue in my time, my brother has 1. Seen plenty of parris cues but never heard or seen a tw cue until coming on here. Another maker which I've only seen 1 other is glover - Another top cue maker, i've had a few and cant fault them. Only negative I can see with a mw cues is the price..seems a bit much for me.

I always consider Mike Wooldridge cues (not the Shark) in the same price range as a Black Plate or an Ultimate cue, perhaps a bit less. In that regard, I do not consider his work over price at all. As a matter of fact, with all due respect to all the the other excellent cue makers, I probably would buy a MW over other cues in the same price range if I am to spend over 600 GBP on a cue. Just my opinion.

But I was not comparing MW to TW in my previous post, just MW to JPU and Black Plate, or perhaps even Stamford series 1. I was just saying I would choose a MW over these 3 personally.Last edited by poolqjunkie; 29 December 2010, 08:13 AM.
