It's mine, auction just finished and I got it for 74 quid. I already have two cues of this length, my old favourite which is about twenty five years old and a maple one I had made about two years ago which I like but prefer ash so I bid for this one.
This discussion about the correct length of cue for tall players is interesting. No such thing as an ideal length for anyone, it all depends on your own personal technique as well as your height. If you're tall, like me, and prefer to play with your bridge arm straight then a longer cue is a must, otherwise everything just feels cramped. Also you can move the cue around in your hand, up the butt when close in and end of the butt for long shots. This is natural and what other players do all the time, but the taller player cannot do this with a standard length cue.
I decided to have a long cue made for me after watching Jimmy White at his best in the 80's. I noticed that when he stood with the butt of his cue on the floor, the tip came up to his chin. This cue did not seem too long for him so I measured from floor to my chin and got myself a cue of this length. It worked for me straight away, everything about my stance just opened up and felt relaxed and natural.
If you are tall, try a longer cue, it works.

Are you sure you didn't mean to say 46" perhaps? That would only be 1" longer than I calculated/guessed.
If it's 46" and you use the shortest recommended V to tip length of 9" you might get away with a.. 46+9+4=59" cue."Do unto others 20% better than you would expect them to do unto you, to correct for subjective error"

In that case, maybe shortening the bit out front of the V is an option to try? This should make you more accurate where you strike the ball (as it lessens tip movement due to accidental butt movement), but it will change the balance and feel of things and it does mean you get less backswing.
56 inch?! .. + 10" (v to tip) + 4" (hand) is .. 70", is your cue really 70" long?

might look at something around 59.5. it's just after talking to trevor i've been put off getting a cue any longer than that really...

I am 6' 2" tall, I have a 74" arm span, tip to bridge measures 13" when holding my cue at the very end of the butt which I only do when playing a long shot as I need more cue to look down to sight it correctly.
Those of you who are watching the masters on interactive, check out Jimmy Whites 147 in the classic breaks prog after matches have finished. Although his cue is of a normal length, because he is short, his stance measurements are relatively equal to mine.
BTW
thanks to jrc750 for flagging the cue
