The other posibility is that when the cue dropped it caused a small piece of hardened old glue to break off in the glue void which applies to both sides ie male and female of the joint. The only way to rectify this is to drill out the joint and fit a new one. Some times when this occurs it seems to right itself after a bit more play. :snooker:

Have still to do anything with it, doesn't seem to affect the way it plays in any way at all, and I recon my dad is buying it off me as he plays a lot of pool and I let him use it last week and he fell in love with it, it really is a fantastic cue just too fine a tip for snooker but perfect for pool, I went to his teams practice nice and beat the lot of them despite not playing pool for at least 4 years!
        One day I'll make a century, I've knocked in a 51!
