From what you're saying about where it was and how it was kept, only a certain amount of people would have had access to that room so you can start a process of elimination as to which ****** has nicked your cue, also sounds so me like somebody who was there at the time of you leaving it there had their eyes on it.....

Unfortunately their are some complete and utter Wan***$ out there who feel the need to steal things and make others lifes a missery as a result....

Am pretty sure you can quickly narrow down the candidates, also does your club not have and CCTV you can look at??

It was locked in a secure room but the owner of the club only has a key and the door was broken in to and thats what im going to look at today the cctv with the other players that cues where in there but the club was meant to have been full with people playing but hopefully there will be some sort of evidence on who has done it..

Well if you catch the scroat, be sure to ram your cue as far as pshsically possible up their arse, unless of course you suspect they might enjoy such a thing.

I dont think it is a cue problem Matt, you can get use to any cue just concentrate on your cue action and stop thinking about your old cue because it is impossible to get back. What is your club saying about this matter. I am sure if its happened in my club i will go mad and i am sure there are cctv cameras in the club. Checked out you may see some one leaving the club with your case.
            Hope it helps.

sorry to hear of your loss, can you not claim of the clubs insurance and get a nice new one. i know it wont mean as much to you, but it might help soften the blow a bit.

i dont think i can claim on the insurance cos i left it at mine own risk other cue owners have asked that question already so looks like i am not going to get my ceu back which has gutted me as for the cctv i have looked at the tapes and the camera has not picked up not alot of footage of where the cues have been kept so cant tell the people that has entered the room

                      something different

What if either your cue shaft or cue butt is stolen or lost by accident, do you think the original cue-maker will br able to remake a similar one in replacement.

I think sometime back, there was a player who had his JPU plain ebony butt portion stolen, leaving only the shaft. Do u think JP or anyone will be able replicate a butt with the same disc plate?

                      Pls advice.

im not sure willy mate as my PowerGlide is about 20 years old so i dunno in some aspect i expect cue makers to come close but it just would feel the same and would prob be quite expensive to do as with the no money i have at the minute so that is not an option at the moment.

Well, your club needs to address it's ****ty CCTV straight away, I know we've got thousands of pounds worth of cues in here, I know lets have the cameras not pointing anywhere near them.........

                          Bunch of twats.

Id keep an eye out in a few places if this happens to anyone, check Ebay for a while to see if any stolen cues pop up on there and also check any local shops like cash converters these are the most easy ways for people like that to get rid of your cues for money if thats what they are up to.

Also if you have a cue now that means that much to you take a picture of it and any marks it may have, you never know when a picture will come in handy.

Last thing Report it to the police they may not seem to do much about it at the time but if you find it in any of the above thats your proof that it was stolen as they will have it on record.:snooker:
