  • cue tip on a new cue

    morning all

    recently my snookering buddy has had a new riley cue a nice two piece with the weighting system and a joint on the butt to take an extension. Last week he asked me to dome shape the tip for him as it was abit on the big and flat side for his playing style.
    When doing it i noticed that the tip on the cue was harder than my blue diamond tip on my cue would it be a wise idea to change the standard tip to something else or leave it as it is. I now sometimes cues like that come with a harder tip to protect the cues.

    What would you guys suggest

    thanks
    gaz

    If you prefer harder tip, you may wanna try;

    1) to clamp you normal tip over a weekend before retipping.
    2) Try master cue tip, it is harder than normal BD or EM tips.
    3) Try using pro-granite tip from green bazie.
    4) Use layered leather tip usually used on US pool CUE.
