  • Selling Off All My Cues

I have booked my flight to Britain and unfortunately about an hour after I did my student from Scotland backed out of his 5 days coaching so now I have to raise some cash. These are all good cues at rock-bottom prices as I also want to get them out of the house. All cues are perfectly straight and have been checked by me. I have put decent tips on all of them (Talisman or Aurora layered and a couple with Elk Masters).

    O'Min Spirit - 57" 17.3oz, 9.5mm (stainless), 29.5mm, 18" with extendable mini-butt - SOLD
    2 x B&W(new) machine spliced, 57.5", 18.5oz, 9.5mm, 29.5mm, 17.5" - each $100(CAN), approx 60pounds (take both for $175(CAN)

All cues are 3/4-butt with ash shafts. Payment in Canadian Dollars via PayPal only please, shipping is extra.

If you want pics of individual cues please email me at 'terrydavidson45(at)gmail(dot)com'. Any decent offers will be considered.

Dear oh dear, shouldn't he cover some of your payment due to his cancellation?

Or can you find some one else to take up the coaching sessions?

It seems not right for you to sacrifice your cues to cover this cost.

Ah man that really is shocking, he really should cover some of your costs! Are you still going to use the flight over here Terry?

When were you due to come over as I'd be interested in some tuition from yourself if I can get some money together, wonder if anybody else would be too???

You're also more than welcome to come and spend a few nights in the Peak District at my house if you so wish..

Terry, what does 5 days coaching cost? when are you coming over? .. and I assume flights are to Scotland and non-refundable/transferrable?

I am in South London, and am busy until the 13th Feb, but if you were over after that .. I might be interested. I am a relative beginner, high break in the 20s. If there are a few more of us in the area, perhaps we could all take 1 days coaching. And .. if you brought those cues with you I am fairly sure you'll find buyers in the UK, if you still want to sell them, and posting them from UK to UK will save everybody some money.

I hope the guy in Scotland has reimbursed you in some way . He surely must have known that you could not get a refund on your ticket .

I'll see if I can answer all the questions. The student was coming here to my facility in Canada (I worded the posting poorly) but I was relying on the $2K or so I was going to be paid to cover my own trip to England in April. Thus, now I'm finally forced to sell off all my cues if I can to cover my expenses while over there and I've dropped the prices considerably in order to sell them and also defray the shipping costs to the buyer.

I will be visiting the Southwest Snooker Academy in Gloucester from April 12th to April 24th and have one day on the 13th booked with Nic Barrow and will likely also get some lessons from their in-house coach who is also the owner, Paul Mount (we are both Terry Griffiths certified so not sure if there will be a benefit). I would be available to provide coaching to anyone who cares to come to Gloucester during my stay. My rates would be 30pounds per hour and I usually start with a 2hr session with a new student.

fanygoo - I have the pictures on the computer in my facility so I will send you some pics later today once I get myself organized.

DeanH - depending on the method of shipping for cost. 2 days courier is usually around $143 (about 80quid), 7-10 days is less at about $100 (about 60quid) and surface up to 4 weeks is a lot less at around $75 or so.

PQJ - thanks for your help and best wishes

                          More to come.

                            DeanH:

If you guarantee the puchase I can bring a cue or 2 with me to Gloucester and thus save shipping cost for anyone willing to meet with me.

I can guarantee the Robin Cook is perfectly straight and is a very good hitting cue with a Talisman Soft tip on it and very little throw.

I would be free from April 14th to April 24th, any day at SouthWest Academy. My rates would normally be 30pounds per hour but for a 6or 8hr session I would reduce that rate due to volume
