Thank you for being so helpful. your advice is sound, which is what i have been looking for.
Do you know of any collectors that may be interested?
any help will be greatly appreciated.
Mike Fearnly may be interested although I think the damage to the badge would put him off.
Prob best to ebay it.
This must be one of the earliest examples of this cue.
To give some background, Harry Stevenson became financially linked with rival company Cox & Yeman in 1904 as a shareholder, and this company actively traded on his name, including producing a "Stevenson" cue under the Cox & Yeman brand.
There is no question of him having a parallel agreement with Burroughes & Watts, so this must have been produced some time shortly before, or after, Cox & Yeman went into administration, which is on record as being October 1908. Burroughes & Watts subsequently bought the whole assets of Cox & Yeman, but this was not until 1911, and their arrangement with Stevenson clearly pre-dates this, as we can see thanks to the information on this item.
Wonderful to have a dated cue which clearly marks the start of a production run.
Well it hasn't reached its reserve price yet so dont know if its overpriced or not. Plus its a handspliced cue with some back up history (the plaque) so nice cue overall.
Never heard of it ?? where you been hiding lol - see this article on cue collector website http://www.thecuecollector.com/TomRe...7BreakCue.html
