does anyone know if john parris would make just a shaft without the cue as ive got a john parris but i wont the cue to be a bit longer and was wondering if he would just make a decent shaft to fit as they are all the same joints. thanks in advance for advice

could you not just have four additional splices added to the butt of the cue to make it longer?

John would Make you a Shaft No Problem but Sometimes he needs the Shaft if you are Wanting Arrows/Grain Certain Way when the Cue Tightens Up on Joint!

Cheers I could go get splices added to the butt but I wanted to go down the lines of getting an ultimate shaft if he would but im guessing that would be quiet expensive

he would i imagine but it would be expensive - a new longer butt would be cheaper.

Is it possible for him to do that and have the joint all faced, lined up and flushed without the butt? I am not sure.

He could make you a shaft no problem but he would need the butt of the
cue ! I asked John the question a couple of years ago when i had a badly
broken cue shaft! But when you way up the costing you may aswell have a
              new cue made!

might be best to carry on with my cue till i have enough money to buy a new cue then. i think i would like another john parris but not sure yet a lot of people on this forum seem to go with different cue makers?

I have a pretty looking JP shaft from an old Exclusive if you are interested?
The butt was regretfully stolen from the locker.

But the length is only 39" long if i dun remember wrongly.

39" shaft would mean a 55" finished cue if your butt is a standard Parris length.

Best option as the guys here have said, is to lengthen the butt.
