  • New cue - any advice?

    Hi Guys,
I currently have a craftsman cue's victor cue. I really don't get on with it. It is a very nice cue, but just not for me. So, I'm planning on selling it and buying a new cue. I'd have a budget of around £120. Any advice on which cue to look at buying? I have been considering the riley burwat cues and the bce grand master cues, anyone have any experience using these cues?

    Thanks,

    Tom

Hi mate welcome to the forum
Those cues you mentioned are not considered to be any good (quality wise), you would be better off looking in the cues for sale section, and finding a good second hand handspliced cue, or even keep an eye on ebay.
For example see link below for this package which may finish at a reasonable price and its got everything you need in one go

I wouldn't recommend the cues you mentioned, you'd be better off sticking with the craftsman cue you own than go for a riley or bce cue which are really just chinese cues imported with a riley badge stuck on.

£120 isn't really going to get you much more than you have already IMO. Get in touch with Stu at Green Baize, he could sort out something with that budget but if you can stretch it to say £150-170 you'd get a really good stick for that.

JRC the cue you listed on Ebay is another Craftsman so I doubt he'd want another given he's not happy with his current cue. Looks a bit dodgy that cue too, I'd looked at it and was considering a bid but the ferrule and badge look a bit iffy, just a hunch but I think it won't be in the best of condition, needs better pictures to be sure of what you are getting.
