  • What make of cue?

A friend gave me a cue to clean.
He has had it for some years and cannot rightly remember where or when he got it.
Anyway, he would like to know; if possible; who/where/when this cue was made.
It was filthy and I am quite pleased with the results so far.
I do not recognise the badge – but my knowledge is not extensive
It appears to not to have been varnished and it is soaking up the raw linseed oil by the gallon (exaggeration )

    Spec:
Shaft: Ash Cue Length 55 3/16" (rubber to top of ferrule)
    Butt length: 9 1/4"
Ferrule diameter: 8.5mm (very approximate – no micrometer)
    Butt diameter: 30mm (approx again)
    Weight: 17.2oz

    Thanks

Thanks jrc750. so a budget cue for Peradon, now made in China (along with a lot of things ) Phew, so I am not "hacking" away at a priceless antique (or maybe Fedia/Woolf/new-name would probably put it up for £800! or some such )
The new ones have a new badge not like this one, sort of fake bronze.
      Cheers

I would think tho that this is one of the early Cannon cues when they were still made in England, just going by badge design which is obviously showing billiard balls. Sure someone will know a lot more about dates etc soon

Yep that is my thought because of the badge.
          Cheers
