Try this site but find someone who reads Chinese first:
    http://www.kfc-snooker.com/index.php

I've also had similar plugs made by the cue maker who made the specific cue I was using at the time.

      Thanks Kiwi.
Who was the cue maker? And do you have a picture of the plug you can show me?

I can't attach photos to members because I am only a "junior member", as I don't have sufficient posts. But if you tell me your email address I can email you the name of the cue maker and a photo of the plugs he made for me. The plug that I have is brass, with a rubber tip. It screws into the SD joint.

Here's one of the brass/rubber plugs; this one was made for me by Dave Buswell at Mastercraft Cues, Shrewsbury. It's weight is 1oz

I can't recall the cost, as I ordered it at the same time that I ordered the cue. It only fits into a Mastercraft SD joint. But if you have a another cue maker's cue ask him e can make plugs for his cues.

A couple of years ago an ebay seller was making brass plugs to order for owners of some brands of cue. I recall that he could make plugs for O'Min cues, as I was intending to buy one but I never got around to it. He may still be offering this service on ebay.

I contacted Dave Buswell at Mastercraft. Here's his reply:

Yes, we did make a joint to fit the base of the cue, but it was a sample one off joint.
We don't make anything like that any more.
