Lots of posts on this subject. Use the search thread and you'll get opinions by the barrowload!! Cues are very special individual things so you'd need to find out the preferences of the recipient. Spoils the surprise a bit tho!

        Ring Stu at Greenbaize http://greenbaize.com/index.htm
Great bloke to talk to, he will go out of his way to pick out a good one for you.
You could get just about any cue in the Mastercue range for that price, or personally would go for the c2 or c3 range in the GBL cues. I know Stu is awaiting delivery of new GBL cues so may not have much/any in stock at present. Talking of presents a cue is quite a personal thing....do you know the lucky person who you are buying it for specs ???

If you have got a budget of around £200 there is only realy one maker of cue i would be looking at for that kind of money and that would be a Mastercue due to the quality of there cues but not overpriced.

You'll get a great cue from Dave at Mastercraft for that money and probaly have change left over for a decent case too.

I'd be heading up to Leeds to visit Craftsman if it were me........

I'd go along with the advice of others and ask Stu at GB to sort you out a cue. He knows his stuff and has a good selection to pick out something close to what you require.

Not doubting Craftsman or Mastercraft but you'd most likely have to have a cue made to measure from them and that is always a bit of a hit and miss affair really. You cannot beat having a range of cues to choose from and having someone like Stu and his ability as a player first and foremost being able to pick a quality cue out. No brainer for me with that budget.
