The Unique cases are just Hong Kong imports like everything else on the market. Normally imports are always from China or Hong Kong.

Unique Cues & Accessories Trading Limited, Hong Kong

    http://uk.alibaba.com/trading-search...rea=product_en

The company will put 'any' logo on the handle. You just pay $30 for the mould to be made, and then 'your name' can be put on the case. In this instance, the brand 'Unique' is put on the handle.

Here's the exact same case I bought for £100, only this time the handle logo was 'Rosetta'.

The leather is pretty poor quality if infact it's leather at all, as the material had a cotton backing, which struck me as being leatherette.

The cases are very tight over the butt section on the 3 compartments styles especially, and feel as though the cases are bending around the cue.

It's possible that the Chinese companies can offer various grades of leather or leatherette, but I would think twice before buying.
    Here, they advertise leatherette.

To charge £195 is an absolute joke.http://www.greenbaize.com/cases.htm

The interior is very nice, but they won't last 2 minutes unless you treat them with cotton gloves, and that is defeating the object of a case.

I've not seen the cues, but I'm fairly sure the same companies make cues too, so the chances are the cues and cases would come from the same place.

Other brands connected with this company according to this link are Omin, Cuetec, Unique, Mike Wooldridge, Brunswick, Elk Master.

Notice the cost price of the cases, which are sold for £195 on Greenbaize etc.

The same company advertises both leather and leatherette cases:

If you take a closer look at the company, you'll notice some of the brands associated under the name:

It's the wrath of a scorned case buyer lol.

Nah seriously, too many kids are paying through the nose for mass production. The quicker they quit paying for names and just buy a cue because it feels good the better.

It's a trade website. If you want to buy stock wholesale, that's the first place you look. The suppliers are online to talk to you and agree prices etc. A bit like an Ebay for suppliers, only live.

If you read it, and press a few links, you'll open your eyes a little on the world of snooker cues, and where many of them are 'really' made, or of course, you could wait until someone shows you, so you don't get burned, and then take the p.

                  All the same to me.

Lads asked for photos and info. I'm not sure I understand your stance.

And yes, you can buy them at trade price. Most suppliers list as 50 pieces minimum, but will sell to you direct if you ask them.

An example is I spoke to Xiamen Linco the other day, who agreed to sell me a case for $38.

The same case that Greenbaize want £195 for. Some might say thanks for the info. Others might ask me the point of my post.

You can't please everyone I guess.

So have you ordered said case for $38 ??? if so well done you have done well. Most people i guess (like me) would assume you needed to buy in bulk and be a trade seller to get these prices ....dont forget shipping costs etc and import duties and all that ... and if you havn't ordered one why not

Why the challenge? Are you a retailer?

I haven't ordered another one because I've decided to buy a hand made one instead, and I've already seen the quality of them after ordering one, and wasn't happy. ( That's my hand btw ).

Shipping from China was quoted as $58, but you can get it for much less if you arrange your own courier.

                              Even still, $38 + $58 = $96

Obviously if you buy in bulk the costs are reduced dramatically. Most of the suppliers will write gift or sample on the box for one offs, which means you avoid import tax.

Even if you did pay tax, it would still work out cheaper than £195 plus delivery.

Not at all, just don't see the point in your post at all. You have managed to find a way of getting a product cheaper (but wont order one yourself) Are you saying a retailer such as Greenbaize (amongst many others) are charging too much for the cases ?? They have got to make a living you know
This is the way of the world mate, everything is available cheaper if you can be arsed to track it down and take risks of it getting delivered etc, but most people dont and just buy from their local shop.
