  • Selling Hunt & O'byrne Green Plated Cue,20 years old plus.

I have for sale Very rare Old Hunt & O'byrne Green Plated 3/4 Ash Cue.
    Cue specs:
58" 19.8oz, 10mm ferrule. 30mm butt, balance at 17.5". Comes with long extensions that fits in to the shaft and aluminium case. I bought this cue from one of the club players that not played much due to his age. He also told me that this cue is one of the jimmy whites cue, and been given to him as a gift 15 years ago. He kept original tip for all those years but i am not fun of that. I put on new blue diamond tip.
Superb cue just to heavy for me.

How much do you think this cue is worth. I also thinking to go and see john parris to change to my own specs. This cue is extremely rare. Joint is much better than hunt and osborne has developed recently. Shaft is magnificent. May keep this one but not sure, if serious offer arrive may decided to sell. I am playing well with my 1 piece hunt and osborne black plated cue and cannot complain much.

I know what it's worth. It's a very nice cue.
The question was: how much did you pay for it?

Sell it off since everyone here wants a pcs of Jimmy White.
                    I think a Jimmy White H&O is worth £1700.

I don't want to say what I think it's worth without knowing what you paid for it. If you are not prepared to tell us then okay, you don't have to.
It doesn't help your reputation on here though.

i cant see what he paid for it as anything to do with its value. he could have picked it up from a car boot for £20 it doesn't mean its not worth £500/600. kezman can you prove it was jimmy whites cue ?

£££ Reputation. I paid a lot of money for this cue lol. I was after this cue for 1 year, previous owner just would not sell it. I remember the first time when i saw him in my club playing some senior billiards game, he would't let me to have a shot with his cue. But as the time goes on and on i offered him a nice cup of tea and than all thinks seems to be started. I think i will keep the cue.
                          Cheers

I will have to ask jimmy than. I will also going to speak with Will Hunt but i am sure that this cue was made by senior Hunt it looks like father of Will Hunt and not current Will Hunt that we know as hunt and osborne cue maker.
