Yep that's it Coomsey, you pick the line of aim and the lines make sure you get down bang on it for your vision, but of course you have to pick the right line, then a nice cue across the line and you've wasted your money lol, only joking it has to help, but it's a bit expensive, maybe the price will come down as the 360 cue is a quarter of the price it once was.
The sighting pad Les was on about intrigues me.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Hmmm, it is a bit like an Olympic Gold Medal sprinter wearing a certain pair of shoes. How much is the shoes and how much is the athlete? I am sure Bingham could beat me with a bent club cue, even if I used his cue.

Still, maybe it might help my game improve a bit? I think I line up the shot OK (maybe I don't always get it right), but my cueing is not perfect and my choice of shot and where I hit the cue ball are not going to change using this aid.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
        I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Yes the sighting pad. I forgot about it. It is a plate about 12"x14" white in colour with a red line down the center of it. You line it up between the two side pockets then set the cue down on one side pocket and walk into it then cue across the sighting block and you soon find out if you have got down on the correct line. Of course this is all done for a dead in shot. Once you get this down then as long as you are sighting the shot and you have practiced getting down correctly and cueing straight then you should be potting everything...LOL. If we where all only that good that we could sight every angle perfect.

Yes exactly. I pot lots of reds with nothing to follow and Sight Right will not help me either. We need to invent something like Shot Right.

Or buy a cue for 2000 pounds (from someone on TSF) that pots balls automatically and was touched by ROS.

This sums up my feelings on the Sight Right Cue....

                      http://youtu.be/oHF_hYi-5vI

Sight Right is a method of getting one element of your game right and if you are interested in Sight Right then you have the propensity to practice your game anyway and you will make improvements. If this cue is going to be the difference between you practicing once per fortnight and twice per week then go ahead and buy it and your game will improve but not as a result of the Sight Right system.

You know that player at your club that you saw last night knocking in the 107 break, the same on who last Tuesday you saw make 122, and last month just missed the black for a 147. Guess what? He is doing that without a Sight Right cue and with lots of practice. Here's the kicker though 'Practice makes......Permanent!' You may well get very good at doing something badly so get a coaching session booked specifically to work on your approach and address of the cue ball, don't be surprised if you barely strike two dozen balls in a one hour session. Work on this and build your game from there.

On the subject of professional endorsements. Very few snooker professionals have handled their affairs well enough to achieve financial security so when a mature professional has the opportunity to be paid to endorse a product I am pretty sure they will jump at it. You just have to look at the players waistcoats to realise that when 'Doug's Rodding & Drain Clearing in Rotherham' can make an appearance that the game has changed somewhat. In the case of Stuart Bingham it may have been that the extra income received by promoting Sight Right meant that he could practice more and waste less time at very minor tournaments or travelling in cheaper but slower means. That was probably the reason behind his improved performances.

It really is no surprise to see that Sight Right has a foot in the golf market as the golf industry is full of products with gimmicks and sight lines on putters really is nothing new, hey my mate even has a pair of blue tinted glasses to help him find his ball in the rough. So I guess in my eyes the Sight Right cue is a pair of rose tinted glasses for the snooker table.

Probably one of the best posts I have read, I practice getting down online in a full length mirror with string down the middle of it to see any lateral movement, keep string bang between the eyes on the nose all the way down, cost , nowt, but it's a pain dragging it round the table at the club lol.

This is interesting. When you talk golf, your right there are piles of Gimmicks and that weekly player that cannot break 90 jumps on every gimmick they can find. I played professional golf and I laugh at my friends buying the latest and greatest gimmick every spring thinking as Terry says the majic bullet when we all know there is no such thing. Then there is myself when it comes to Snooker cannot get to my 50 break and look for every gimmick I can find even when I know there is no such thing. I worked with Cliff Thorburn on Monday and also tried the Sight Right cue which we found that I was very good at sighting my shot and getting down on the shot. I have been practicing what Cliff found to be the problem and I am already finding a difference. The Sight Right cue is a great training aid but not cheap but if I compare it to my friends buying $500 drivers thinking they are going to hit 300 yards its not bad and defiantly gets you aligned.

                              Ahh cool
I play off 8, i dont like all the training aid gimmicks but the gps on my phone has made my club selection alot easier, knocked atleast 5 shots off my game.

Unfortunately it isnt that simple with snooker, it would need to be some sort of training aid.

But my concern would be continuing when it is taken away, i see alot of golfers with training aids that do seem to help but the second you take them away their body movement comes back.

Although i did have a thought, one aid for golf i did like was the weighted club, it helped with warming up, and getting the club on the right path and because of the weight, it felt like it was training your muscle memory better and faster to repeat that swing over and over.

Could a heavy, by heavy i mean like 40-60oz cue.
When practiced with to make sure you are cueing dead straight.
Actually help train your muscle memory to repeat that stroke over and over?? Not something id recommend before a match lol your speed control may go out the window until you get used to the weight of your normal cue again.

I though about that. I have a very old Wilson 8813 putter loaded with lead tape because I always found it much easier to get a straight smooth stroke. I wonder if anyone has ever tried loading up a cue with extra weight.
