Stupree has done me some Cue Guru badges. Should look amazing.
I wont be taking orders for a while yet, plan is to make some nice cues and then sell what's made rather than make to order. That way I can learn and enjoy without the pressure of custom orders.

I'm first in line when you are ready to release one.
Looking awesome even without the oil to shine up the wood. The splices look good, lovely and round.
Whats the butt size at current? U keeping at that or shaving it down to ur preference?
The butt is 29mm, tip 10mm, Length will be 58 inches. Not sure on weight yet, the balance point is at about 19inches so need to add some weight into the butt to balance it right.
I am thinking along the lines of stamping a number onto the bottom of the butts of cues I make so that they will have a registered/dated/more collectable feel.
This of course will be No1.
just to say thanks. it's been great reading your blog and seeing your pictures as you have progressed towards making a cue. really interesting, well done. good to read that other cue makers have been willing to take the time to help you out along the way.
Great blog , Jason.I have to agree with ADR,your appreciation of "older " cues does show.I believe Mike would add one to his collection, maybe even use it as his playing cue ( old style, new timbers and taper).May I ask if you have considered a 3/4 cut cue or perhaps a short front splice, unweighted cue , so that a joint could possibly be added later i.e. spirolock or invisible Glover joint.I can understand that you might concentrate on one piece first, but your market may be bigger if there was an alternative.Keep up the good work,in short "outstanding that man".
