Hi Jason, seeing as its your very first go at this i'm just wondering why are you making several at once ???
Is it to sell a few to recoup the costs of making the one/ones you keep for yourself ??
Are you going to put some of your spare Antique cue badges on them lol

The plan was to start by making a half dozen with the hope that I get one good one at the end.
But if I end up with a few cues turning out well then it would be good to sell them so I can then invest in some machinery. Plus the wood, especially for the butts, isnt cheap so would help with buying more of this for the next batch.

          Good luck with it all.

I will keep reading the blog to see how its going,

Is the aim to have one of your cues as your playing cue?

Thanks for the support, I am giving 1 solid day a week to it so progress will be steady but slow.
Picked up some Pau Rosa wood today and some ebony veneers from a local wood turner.
Cost £20 so costs are starting to mount up.

I will keep adding pics as I go along.
This coming week I have to taper round the other 5/6 shafts so not too much will happen to report on.
                          Then splicing begins...

Wow awesome read, iv always loved cues and would someday like to get into cuemaking as a hobby, whgen I'm older, just wondering is it difficult to get an even and gradual taper in the shaft, as I imagine it would be? Keep up the good work!
