  • Mac chambers cue Help with identification

I have a cue that I know very little about and would like to know what it might be made of and any other info would be much appreciated...

    Its a Mac chambers 2000 rushden 18.4oz / 57.2inch / 9.2mm tip
I have looked up mac chambers and have realised that this cue might be a one off for someone but not sure.. Would also be interested to know how much it might be worth. any help would be great. Thanks

i'm pretty sure i read on here that mac chambers had died some time back, that his cue's were absolute quality and given that, their probably worth quite a bit of money.

my very rough estimate would be about £300????? depending on condition?

You should be able to tell if its ash or maple easily enough.....ash has plenty of visible grain to it, lots of lines etc, whereas maple is virtually a plain wood.
As for the butt end of the cue, if the wood is black it will be ebony, if it is brown its probably rosewood. (in most cases lol)
A picture or two can say a thousand words

I can confirm Mac has past away. About 4 years ago.

I didnt actually know him but over the last 6 months I have got to know his son malcolm quite well.

I play bowls with malc and he currently has his own and his dads cue. Both cues are really awesome. I know the extra effort went in for them both lol,

Please upload photos of your cue.

Well pics a bit small but looks to me like ash shaft with a black ebony butt which has a rosewood splice on it

Looks like a very nice cue
