I've been playing snooker for about a year and I want a new cue (Currently using a JJB £30 one :P ). What do you think about second hand cues? What makes would you recommend for between £80-£150? Also how often would you recommend getting a new tip (I play about 10 hours a week)?

Do you know what specifications you like or what dimensions/weight current cue is?
Also do you have any preferences in woods, do you want 1pc or 3/4?
Where about in the UK are you?
I have been trying out a few cues and have been selling them on so may have something suitable. I do have 2 pretty nice 1pc cues available here for sensible money....

Are any 1/2 cues any good? If not I would go for 3/4. I live just north of Manchester and as I said I'm upgrading from the cheapest of the cheap so I don't really have any preferences for types of wood. I'm pretty short, 5'5 although I wouldn't want anything special weight/length wise, standard sizes will do.
Cheers for the reply
