eBay Cue Dilemma! - To buy or not to buy??

I have been watching this lovely cue since it was listed with a Buy-it-Now price of £250 starting bid of £200. Patiently Watching and Wanting!

I have had all my spare cue money tied up in cues so didn't want to leave myself tight by buying this. Another person had bid and met the reserve so the Buy-it-Now disappeared, I have bid up to the £250 and still am not winning.

I really like this cue but I know feel a little silly if about possibly paying more than the £250 I originally could have had it for!!

Has this happened to anyone else?

Ahh, you should have had it at the £250 ive got it on watch aswell and thought that was a very reasonable price for Buy It Now. His Burwat cue looks damn good too!

Currently if you up your bid £5 you will be highest bidder as you know his bid is exactly 250, and its still a good price imo so go for it!!

Lesson learned cost £5 lol.

how much more would tony glover charge for a brand new one to your specs too?

then you've not got to worry about winning it and maybe paying over the odds cos you could have had it for the 250.....

As an estimate I would expect Tony Glover to charge approximately £320-360 to produce a cue like this. The butt is very easily replicable but a shaft as nice as that may nit be so easy.

Absolutely mate! I think what is bugging me a little is that my girlfriend said "Just click the buy-it-now button, it will probably go for more than that"

It's not it is a Tony Glover Replica that Dominic Dale had made. One of many replica cues he had made over the years I believe.

I have bought a Joe Davis 2501 in pretty good condition last week that I am due to collect in a couple of days.

Correct JRC...It's certainly an original badge, possibly an original butt, but it's definitley a new shaft...

Whereas, Stupree, could have BOTH of my Joe Davis all original cues with change from your £250!!! :-

Both are as original, but have been re-finished ready for use.

I would say that he or somebody has refinished that cue to pick out the grain. The weight stamp is very defined as well.

I had spotted those too, but there is just something about this cue that I like. It is very tidy and that shaft is very nice.

Still winning at £255......
