I think by anyones standards that is quite an amazing story of cue buying. When your finished i'm sure there's a book or film to made out of this lol. I noticed not 1 of dan's cues from oxford bought and he was right on your doorstep. Another note is I think this is a good advertisement for trevors cues.. After all the cues you've had its 1 of his that you've picked. I know everyone is different in what they like but still good for trev.

Dave, I did meet Dan a couple of times, nice guy, and he was going to make me a cue eventually when he had sorted out all his problems, hopefully he is on the road back to happiness again.

Trevor is a really great cuemaker and a nice guy. He is also a mate. Mind you, he is probably one of THE most annoying human beings in the world, when you desperately need to talk to him he is impossible to get hold of but when you happy and content he phones you 'out of the blue' for a natter!!

I think the main problem with buying used cues is that why would anyone ever sell a cue that was a fantastic 'player'?

Thanks for sharing your quest, oldgit. Great read. Do you take pictures of your cues? If your post had a picture for each of your cues, I would need a bib because I'd be drooling.

Very enjoy to read your story...it happens to me but in lesser degree and I think it happens to many people as well....the funny part when I read your story is that I think searching for cue is like searching for girl...even when you have the one you love but when meeting some hot girls it is very tempting to get to know her...or sometimes people leave the one they love to another.
