Odd thing to ask I know but...
Has anyone any experience of having a join removed from a cue and the 2 peices of the cue glued up with a dowel?
I realize it may be quite unsusal and even unorthadox. Thing is I have a 3 peice split cue and the middle join catches my chin and really spoils the look of the cue. I know any glue join will be visible to certain extent depending how well its done. Theres also the chance that gluing the 2 sections of the shaft with a dowel made from Ash might improve the feel of the cue a little bit.
Ultimately I'd like to get a new shaft or even better a new cue. At the moment though I dont have the funds available and I'm not 100% settled on the spec that suits mne best. Plan is to play around with this cue a bit till I find what suits me.
