The only thing i dislike about Dunns cues are the crappy extensions they give. But for the price you pay you could really class those as freebies. I've emailed Vernon for a quote of a Macassar Ebony mini butt and 19" Extension. And i got a reply of £40 posted to the U.K which in my eyes is a bargain.
The issue with the extensions provided is that they are made from aluminium. So are very light. And i mean very very light. When cueing with them attached they make your cue feel really front heavy. Making try to over compensate the power. Generally resulting in a miscue i find. So i can't wait to get the new ones now XDComment

I emailed Dunns for a quote on a pool spec plain Maple/Ebony cue and I was a little surprised that the price was £155. Which is obviously significantly more than cues that they make with expensive woods spliced in. I guess I'm paying for the fact that it would be a custom build.

Just placed an order for a customised cue with Dunns, ended up going for a cue with a long butt with a joint in the Splices. Mocked up a little diagram to give an idea of how i'd like it to look, not an amazing pic but gives a general idea:
